Samuel was born on March 5, 1798 to Catherine Atkins and Samuel Eliot.
In 1837, elected to be the Seventh Mayor of Boston.
Samuel passed away on January 29, 1862. He was laid to rest in the Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
